Holidays in Europe

Escape the airport queues, take the coach abroad instead…

Our European coach trips are very popular, offering as they do the chance to get away from Britain without the hassle of flying – and usually at a better value price too.

It may be a bit of a drive to the Continent, but we always make it as pleasant and relaxing as possible, with carefully worked out itineraries to interesting places and lots thrown in for the price.

Destinations vary from year to year, and we are always adding new ones, so keep an eye out and see if anything takes your fancy. It’ll be worth dusting off your passport…

Our regular customers compliment us on our value for money, our helpful booking staff, friendly drivers and carefully-planned itineraries. For the majority of trips we use three and four star hotels, and all of our coaches are executive models, meaning you’re ensured a comfortable journey. And of course – unlike some other coach companies – we never use feeder coaches, meaning you get on the coach at your local pick-up point and stay on it, in the same seat, throughout your holiday. What’s not to like?

Spain's Green Coast (D-U-S)

This was our second GBTours visit to the Juan de la Cosa hotel as we had enjoyed it so much in 2019. It did not disappoint, in fact it was even better. Our return ferry crossings were smooth and comfortable in clean if rather compact cabins. The crew were all friendly and the breakfasts and dinners were very good with plenty of choice. The hotel itself is situated right on the beach with lovely views. It is still just as impressive as before - immaculate and comfortable, lovely staff and an excellent choice of food for breakfast, tapas and dinner, to say nothing of the delicious local beers, wines and sangria. We booked a seaview room and were delighted. The town of Santõna is a very short local bus ride away or a longer flat walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions, particularly the scenery and medieval towns. Our driver Andy was brilliant, as usual, doing a sterling job in his own inimitable way.

Belgium Highlights (D)

Dear all Our 5 day trip to Belgium was fantastic The booking staff were informative & very helpful, as usual. The Lakeside coach from Wellington was very comfortable & the driver Chris was fantastic. He was very friendly & helpful & he put the electric wheelchair on & off the coach always (which he didn’t have to do). Chris gave us good information of each place we visited & even went out of his way to find out the accessible route to the Menin Gate service. He also provided us with maps of Ghent, Ypres & Bruges, which was brilliant, & a summarised itinerary & times of departures etc. The guide at Dunkirk was very good & very informative . We had plenty of free time at each place to explore. The hotel Ter Streep was ideally located in Ostend. The accessible room was very large & comfortable & the continental food at breakfast was very good. There was a slight (2 inch?) step into the hotel which wasn’t a problem for the wheelchair. The lift was just about big enough for the wheelchair, which again, wasn’t a problem. The hotel staff were also very helpful. Our group of fellow passengers were very friendly. We are looking forward to many more trips with yourselves which are already booked. We would have loved a River Cruise but sadly the boats can’t accommodate us with an electric wheelchair , getting on & off when they moor next to another boat. We would also love to see more Europe trips, eg Germany, Italy, Paris. Please feel free to use any of our above comments. Kind regards, Andy & Wendy Chilton
