The Cream of the Cotswolds (W+V)

Honey-coloured villages abound and steam trains amble through green and pleasant landscapes… you could only be in the Cotswolds…

Day 1: We arrive at our hotel this afternoon for 4 nights.

Day 2: A lovely start to any day – a morning visit to Bourton House Gardens – an award-winning hidden treasure with pleasing lawns, fountains, topiary, sculptures and orchard.

We need to show you more of the Cotswolds’ alluring villages, so the rest of our day is spent enjoying free time in two of the best – Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold.

Day 3: To Cheltenham we go for our date with a steam train through the undulating Cotswolds landscape to the almost Disney-perfect village of Broadway. Followed by free time in Broadway and Chipping Campden.

Day 4: We pay a visit to the award-winning National Waterways Museum Gloucester, which tells the 200-year-story of inland waterways, and later enjoy a relaxing boat trip in the Wye Valley.

Day 5: Time to bid farewell to the beguiling Cotswolds and make our way home after breakfast.
