A lovely Spring mini break including a magnificent Palace and a splendid flower festival....

Itinerary

Day 1: Meet our coach for the trip to Oxfordshire, where we head straight to Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill.
There will be time to explore this magnificent house and grounds, which is home to one of the most important and extensive collections in Europe, which includes portraits, furniture, sculpture and tapestries, before we drive to our hotel in Milton Keynes for the evening.

Day 2: After breakfast we have an hour’s drive to the Cambridgeshire village of Thriplow, where you will have plenty of time to admire the flowers, browse the stalls and see the sights in this, the weekend-long festival’s 51st year.
Up to 10,000 people visit the car-free village of Thriplow every year to experience the warm and friendly atmosphere of the annual Daffodil Weekend charity fundraising event. As well as daffodils there are open gardens, fun attractions, live music and of course refreshments and goods to buy.
After some time at the festival we visit Cambridge. This bustling city – famous of course for its prestigious university – has plenty to keep you busy for a couple of hours before we have to head for home.

Price includes 1 night D/B/B plus coach travel and days out as described. Single room supplement applies.
