Steam Trains through rolling hills, Honey Farms and gorgeous Gardens – that’s why we love north Devon!

Itinerary

Day 1: We arrive at our hotel this afternoon for 4 nights.

Day 2:  Through the Devon countryside to Bishops Lydeard for a date with a steam train and a 20-mile scenic journey through the gently rolling Quantock hills to Dunster.
This oh so pretty ancient village is home to the fabulous Dunster Castle and estate and your entrance ticket allows access to the house and subtropical gardens. When Dunster Castle is not available we will visit Arlington Court, an intriguing Regency House with an impressive collection of horse-drawn vehicles set in a picturesque garden.

Day 3: We drop in on Quince Honey Farm for all things Bees (and honey) see inside the hives for an intimate view of honey bee society and take some yummy honey home.
Next, we take a country road through the Devon landscape for an afternoon of relaxed pleasure at RHS Rosemoor – one of the most splendid Gardens in England and a must while you’re in these parts.

Day 4: A free day so you can explore the nearby town of Bideford if you wish.

Day 5: We leave for home after breakfast and make a suitable stop on the way back.

Price includes; 4 nights D/B/B and all coach travel and trips out as stated. Single room supplement applies
