Day 1 Sunday: On arrival in London this afternoon we go to the Royal Mail Postal Museum. Did you know that the enormous amounts of post London requires is sent all round the Capital by ‘secret’ underground train? For the first time in its 100 year history, the public are being allowed to see and even ride this unique system and engineering feat achieved 100 years ago.
We stay overnight on the Sunborn Yacht floating luxury hotel.
Day 2 Monday : Full English breakfast on board before we commence today's 2 remaining ‘treats’.
First, we discover ‘Spencer House’ completed in 1766 for the first Earl Spencer and ancestor of Diana, the Palace is said to be London’s most magnificent. Better still, it remains relatively undiscovered on the tourist trail with limited visiting available to the general public. Our visit includes a private, 1-hour informative talk and a glass of Fizz.
And for our 'Grand Finale’ - A Grand Tour of the Albert Hall. See the breathtaking auditorium where the world’s stars have performed, and take a peek at some of the royal areas of the Hall – maybe we’ll be lucky enough to hear an artist in soundcheck!
Please note; Due to the historic nature of the Royal Mail underground system it is not suitable for any persons with restricted mobility. Train carriages are small and may be uncomfortable for visitors who are claustrophobic.
Price includes; Coach, Hotel, Breakfast and entrance fees. Single room supplement applies.
London's latest deluxe hotel is a floating palace.
Situated in Royal Victoria Dock, with fantastic views across the Thames of Canary Wharf and the dome of the O2 Arena, Sunborn is in a fantastic, convenient location.
