Itinerary

Every year the Royal Albert Hall hosts the capital’s most magnificent concert. Classical Spectacular, is a rousing, nostalgic, patriotic, goose-bump making spectacle executed superbly by the world-class Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Then, as a complete contrast we enjoy nostalgia and great fun of another kind when we visit a traditional London Music Hall belonging to a time gone by.

2 very different but equally thoroughly enjoyable shows – at a time when London glows brightly under Christmas lights and the atmosphere of the Capital in festive mode

Day 1: We’ll arrive at our hotel the central St Giles London, where we stay overnight, mid-afternoon.  There’s time to settle-in and freshen-up and then later, the coach will take you to the Knightsbridge district of London (Harrods) which is not far from the Albert Hall.  Traffic permitting, you should have about 1½ hours free time – a chance to get something to eat before we go to the Royal Albert Hall for the Classical Spectacular. The show begins at 7:30pm and will finish approximately 10pm, when the coach will take you back to your hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast we have a short drive to the capital’s popular shopping area of Covent Garden where you can spend a couple of hours exploring.

Later it’s back to the coach and on to the fabulous Brick Lane Music Hall where we enjoy a matinee performance of Vincent’s Jinglebell Christmas, an all-singing, all-dancing festive show with all the comedy elements you would expect from a trip to the Music Hall. Afternoon tea will be served during the interval.

After the show we head for home.

Price includes: 1 night B/B basis, coach travel, good show tickets and afternoon tea. Single supplement applies.

Hotel: The 3-star St Giles’ London hotel is centrally located in the West End, in Bloomsbury near the junction of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street, just steps away from top attractions, theatres, restaurants and the best of London’s shopping.

Although compact, the 675 hotel guest rooms have been thoughtfully designed, some featuring large windows with views of the London skyline. The hotel’s four restaurants offer the best of classic British, Italian and Asian cuisine. All rooms come with full facilities, and there is free wifi and a lift.
