Itinerary
Day 1: We head down to the South coast and board the Ferry for a one-hour sailing to the Isle of Wight.
We arrive at the Ocean View Hotel in Shanklin for 4 nights.
Day 2: First, we visit the historic St Mildred’s Church, a place of worship since 1854 and frequented by Queen Victoria herself.
Next, Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s palatial home-from-home on the Island.
We finish our day in Godshill – a typically pretty English village - complete with cream tea.
Day 3: Ventnor Botanic Garden. Even in winter it’s beautiful and there’s plenty of warm snuggly parts too!
Then we go to the Isle of Wight Pearl, purveyors of the finest pearls and a bit of an institution of the island - not to mention amazing views!
Finally, we go to Alum Bay to view the famous Needles before heading back to our hotel.
Day 4: Your day is free to explore Shanklin and relax in the hotel.
Day 5: Depart for home after a last hearty breakfast to see us on our way.
