Day 1: Drive to one of the ferry ports on the south coast and board the ferry for a 1-hour sailing to the Isle of Wight, and then on to our hotel in Sandown where we stay for 4 nights.Day 2: This morning we visit the National Trust Gardens at Mottistone Manor, where exotic blooms fill the borders but are never watered!? Entrance to gardens only.Next we’re off to see one of the natural wonders of the English coastline when we visit Alum Bay and view the famous ‘Needles’. We then spend some time in the resort of Yarmouth.Day 3: We visit the seaside town of Ryde, which has one of England’s oldest pleasure piers, then on to the Island ‘capital’ Newport and finish the day with a cream tea at the Wight Mouse Inn at Ventnor – a lovely spot on the Island.Day 4: Free day to explore Sandown.Day 5: After breakfast we head for home.Price pp based on 2 sharing standard room includes: 4 nights D/B/B basis plus excursions as shown.
